the blog you are currently viewing is owned by Tom Millett. I worked individually on a 2 minute horror film as part of my coursework. The film itself was fully shot over the space of 4 months due to various re-shots for the film to make it the best quality possible. I do hope you enjoy the film. Thank you very much.

Buddy: Final edit

This is the final edit for the film. I am satisfied with the conclusion of my film and I hope it is well received!

Buddy: Edit 3

   

I have decided that the ending scene takes away from the atmosphere built up in the majority of the film and will edit the film accordingly to add more shock violence to the film without ruining the atmosphere.                                                

Buddy: edit 2

                          This is pretty much the final edit of the film Buddy which is the spiritual successor to the previous idea of House of Balloons. While it is the exact same concept it features some extra scenes at the end to disturb and shock the viewer. I am happy with what the film has become overall. The only thing I feel I need to change is the sound effect used at the end of the film to a stabbing sound as it can take you out of the experience.

Buddy: edit 1

                             

I have decide to change the title o the film to Buddy. This is due to the original title having little relevance to the actual film and it was tough to interpret the film's relevance to the title. The new title, "Buddy" can have a new interpretation and a whole new dynamic on the story. The added shots were used to show the more violent behaviour of the murderer. I have had to cut certain shots I had planned due to the time limit but I am happy with where the film stans currently.

House of Balloons: edit 3

In this edit I have finally fixed the music issue that was in the previous edits. I have also resolved the issues with the title being placed in the film by putting it at the end of the film instead of the beginning.
I need to add soe new shots at the end of the film so I can get a variety of shots in the end. I also want to surprise the viewer at the end of the story with a shock violent scene which I need to shoot.

House of Balloons: edit 2

This is the second edit of the film. Again, the sound of the film has not worked correctly. However I have updated some of the shots of the film so the film visually looks a lot better. I changed the filter to black and white because I was continually having lighting issues with the film so changing it to black and white eliminates these issues.
